Ever since I was a child I've loved insects, and I've had an affinity for bees most of all. I love bees. They are the most fascinating creatures to watch. I love closely watching their movements as they buzz from flower to flower, collecting pollen and doing whatever else a bee needs to do.
One day the office manager at the building where I work wandered over to my cubicle and mentioned there was a beehive out in the parking lot. I gathered up my camera and rushed over to snap a few pictures.
The beehive was bustling with activity. It had hundreds and hundreds of the little creatures, all crawling around, doing things that are important to bees. I watched for several minutes, fascinated, then went back to work. The next morning, the hive was gone. Obviously, it was a swarm and was looking for a new home. I wonder where the bees finally decided to live?
